Came home today from my scrapyard job with this RCA Victor portable Radio that came in with a truckload of scraped electronics. SOLD Heath Model GR-24 Series 731-9419 Heathkit transistor radio. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. RCA Victor Model 8BX6 Superheterodyne Radio 1946-47. Factory original backing board is intact. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Bottom factory label is in intact condition. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear no flaking. Knobs are original and securely attached. Not repainted no over spray and no touch ups. No cracks or chips on the Bakelite cabinet This is a factory original brown molded Bakelite cabinet. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1953 in excellent+ working and physical condition. It is more modern looking with crisp angular edges and modern satin silver trim.
